POWER USER TIPS

After visiting an @surface (webview), tap once on      in our app's navigation  bar to get back to the app screen you started from.

Tap once more  to get to the Active Surfaces "carousel" to see your history.

In a hurry to get to the home screen? Tap-tap (double tap) quickly on      in the navigation bar on any screen!

Tip: When you are surfing the web, the familiar > and < arrows appear on our nav bar. Want to hide the nav bar in the webview? Swipe up on the page.

Collection screen(s) are active.

The first screen that you will see when  you select the Collections (orange menu bar) option button-->MY COLLECTIONS tab is the top-level collections view showing all your collections. 

You can add a new collection using the     button, and can edit (delete, rename) using the screen's edit menu item. Tapping on a collection image takes you to the next screen showing items in that selected collection.

The items screen allows you to edit (delete,move) items in the selected collection using the screen's edit menu item. 

Tap on an item to comment, or tap-tap quickly to get to the item's webview. You can also invite friends to collaborate and share the collection with them using this button:

Once they accept, they too can add and edit items!

How do you add an item to a collection? 

Use the      button in the item's comments screen or  webview.

How do you access your user profile and personalized activities screen? After you activate the Collections top-level screen (by tapping on the Collections icon [button] in our app navigation bar), tap on the Profile button in the orange menu bar that is displayed on the top of the screen.

Tap the three-line icon button that is now displayed in the menu bar on the top right to add/change your full name, upload a profile photo, or add your email address. Note that the email address is always private and will be used only by GetAt Inc. to send you infrequent important announcements and for troubleshooting/verifying/resetting your account.

Activities screen is displayed and active when you tap on the         icon in the  app navigation bar.  

This is where you can check out the content collection activities of other users  you are following or are friends with.  See what they are doing with their public collections and also see what your collaborators are doing with their/your shared collections.

Hint: Tap on the binoculars icon        in the title bar to get to the default activities screen (the only activities screen  when you  first start using get@), where you can invite friends to get@, start a collection or check out our suggested collections and featured users.

Hint: To see a separate timeline for your collection activities or the collection activities of a particular user or friend, open the appropriate user profile by tapping on a profile photo icon or the Profile button in the orange menu bar when Collections view is active.

Notifications screen displayed and active when you tap on the "bell" icon on the top right of your home screen.

This is where you can check notifications like friend invites and collection collaboration invites, as well as other users' responses to your invites.

Hint: A red dot appears and is attached to the icon when you have new notifications

Connections screen displayed and active when you tap on the "connections" icon on the top right of the home screen.  

Tap on the FRIENDS tab, another convenient place to respond to friend requests, invite friends and see a list of friends.

Tap on the MY CHANNELS tab (coming soon!) to see chat threads based on content (items and collections) that you have started with your friends and collaborators.

Try a power search like tv@amazon or red shoes@zappos  in the search box. Works for many @surfaces (sites).
